the conservative style of the Cape Dorset piece would be a good foundational layout so your more creative pieces wouldn't add to the schitzophrenic pace of the site.
of course the site shouldn't look like that piece, but i think it would create a better sense of balance and professionalism that I think is currently lacking here.
as for turning off the music. that is a must. the mystery meat of rolling over the turntable isn't enough. text here is essential. and to turn it COMPLETELY off would be nice too, not just the current level of muting...

i'd like to present 'jaylarson' with the award of most intelligent and helpful response thus far and for actually looking at my work to determine what could be had.
moving on...
i designed the site to stand on it's own and would agree that i didn't pay much attention to the presentation of my work, i feel thumbnails might help there. besides that i want to tighten up the Type and text content, i'll save the page corners for last.
but why is the pace of my work important if they're their own entity?
