haha it's so funny how as designers we're never allowed to say "umm i just like it" when really that's what it comes down to!
i HATE IT! ITS SOOOOOOOO 3 YEARS AGO!!!!
ok i don't really hate it. i was reading "An Intimate History of Humanity" this morning and it talks about how the idea of black and white right or wrong friend or enemy can be traced back to Zarathustra in 1000 BC with his "one god" theory - before him it was considered silly to think so definitively as humans were just powerless flotsam subject to the will of thousands of gods' random whims. (sounds like a designer-client relationship)

I think that Walker Art has a really nice identity that's not that well known here in the UK.
Moma has a typically boring logo but some of their print stuff is ok.
James Goggins' studio Practice do lots of nice print stuff for the Tate:
incidently he is now art director for The Wire magazine.
In the whole design museum discussion. I agree that the museum is shit compared to other countries' design museums. The identity is getting more dated all the time. GTF are a bit hit and miss. Although having said that Kam Tang's work is really nice and covers a wide range of styles (more than you'd expect). The silhouettes he did for the DM identity are not that representative. See more of his work here:

he even did the Gnarls Barkley St Elsewhere album cover.
