Its a shit sport played by diving queers.

still, he made a point: winners, schwinners, you don't twist a man's nipple!
- designerror0
he laughed at the nipple twist, he headbutted when he was called a terrorist

Any real football fan, will know that Zinedine Zidane, was one of the greatest players of all tme, maybe even the greatest!
I know headbutting is not a great thing and should definatley not be done in a world cup final let alone at all, but aside from that the guy was pure genius on the pitch, he brought football to new levels. Im sure the guy feels like shit today, dont you think people should lay off him? He knows he did wrong, we all make mistakes and he's gotta live with it...but you cant ignore his years of brilliance! Zizou truely is and will remain a footballing legend!!!!

every great player has his "hand of God" moment...

touching, badmouthing.. this built up, didn't it?
ok, I should prolly stop acting like I give shit about soccer. I only saw this action (still, in a repeat) cause the Friends rerun on channel4 turned out to be the Ben Stiller episode and I couldn't force myself to watch it again, so switched back to the game.

no, i think he is great too but you have to wonder if he continued to play would he let another clown get into his head to get him out of the game.
i'd like to think he wouldn't...
whats most staggering about all this is the timing. if it had happen in the other rounds, no biggie. but his final game of his career with the world cup on the line.
Zidane makes the game looks easy, seems to play it effortlessly...only a few in their sports do that.

Lets hope the italian decides to think again before being an annoying little twat next time. He is just as responsible.

t'was the old mama insult http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/…

Engage,
i think the italian did his job...anytime you can psych out the opponent (their best player), you've gotten your team the advantage. his way was classless, yes, but his team also won the PK session, something Zidane is awesome at.ps
love your work!

As for Henry, another very talented player shouldn't have taken out of the game...i don't know if it was by request or his coaches decided so...if requested, he has to play through his fatigueness, if ordered, he should refuse to leave. I just cannot see Phil Jackson taking out Jordan or Jordan asking to be taken out.
...jondj24
(Jul 10 06, 04:57)Henry was completely burned out. He played awesome despite the crazy hard headbutt at the beginning. he got several injuries throughout the game.
i would have taken him out in the end as well.
and btw. Wiltord is an excellent substitute..

but great players are great players so they are bound to be compared with each other no matter where they play or what sport they play.
fact of the matter is Zidane let his mental guard down when others wouldn't have.
jondj24
(Jul 10 06, 05:24)your head is full of ********, jondj.
i can't believe the nonsense coming out of your keyboard and your head..
you can NEVER compare sportsmen from one sport with those from another, each sport has its own and unique characteristics and levels of intimidation etc.
and yes, please don't think the players of sports that are only popular in the US are as popular in the rest of the world, because that is not always the case.
Except for Jordan, i agree...

Join in the fun

I had the huge pleasure of watching his last home club game in Madrid - the guy is a genius and adored beyond 99.99999% of other players! The whole of the Bernabau held up images and screamed his name for 90 minutes! For that he deserves respect!
- Engage0
this world cup was basically full of a bunch of wets, anyone that showed a bit of proper competitveness were booked... and half the players played up to this by antagonising other players... to think German Klinnsman used to be called a diver!
- Engage0
and if the portuguese manage to stay on their feet next time perhaps they'll then get their nuts trodden on.

As a 'showcase' tournament for the sport, I still can't work out why so many people like this stupid sport.

I defer to others; this isn't within my limited sphere of expertise

you can compare their mental toughness...yes, yes you can!which i think Zidane has but not on the level of Jordan or Pele for that matter. I just cannot see them doing what he did no matter what was said to them. that is the only point i am trying to make.
