Oh, I forgot this one..my first potential client meeting when I went freelance, a few years back in the internet hype phase:
Wife of successsful dentist:
"I want a site for doctors.."OK..
"You know where people can rate them, and we can list all the doctors.."
Um, all the doctors..
"Yes, my friend said we need a database. So I'd like a database of all the doctors.."
All the doctors? Which all are we talking about?
"All the doctors in the United States. We can get a database like that right? My budget is about $400"
For the database?
"No, for the whole project. And how do we do an IPO? That's how we can get rich..."

The office I worked at was hired to simply layout artwork for a calendar. The "artwork" was already designed by the high school art teacher........
The first thing I opened had a rainbow gradient background, with yellow drop shadowed comic sans - lowercase AND set vertically!
