that's rude to make people spend 200 dollars to get dressed for your wedding IMO.

that's ridiculous
they must be social climbing losers

I had this cool tuxedo that changed round and did some pretty wacky shit but the feds came round and confiscated it said something about national security or some shit like that but I'll tell thee it was rad being able to climb buildings and go invisible and shit :)

hey, if saving money for yourself and your friends is the issue, just just go casual and have your wedding at a mcdonald's drivethru.
and tell your guests to buy their own happy meals.

that is a ridiculous statement, tikal.

that is not a creative answer.

//Black tie weddings are the next generation in weddings, if you can't afford it...feel free to fuck right off and move your poor Philistine ass off to the side for social progress to move on through.

dobs...its not rude at all...i know you hate fashion in all its venues...if you cant afford renting a a tux or purchasing one then goto to it wearing a dark suit...a tuxedo today doesnt have ruffles or anything...its just a suit.
...i am totally glad i had a black tie, and not everyone was super ultra dressed up, but the majority who were made the wedding feel like a more cohesive group...it made a much more lasting impression in my mind over having people come how ever they want.
planning a wedding take a lot of time and patience, and it costs a lot...to complain about how one should dress as an opinion doesnt hold any ground...if you dont want to go then dont...but if you do go then try to make the effort that the wedding party has asked of you to do as they invited you to be part of their special occasion.
blah!!! :)
ok..day is over and there is weeds that need to be rolled.
....and im just venting.

Mandatory dress codes of any kind suck IMO. I like getting dressed up, but only becuase I want to not because I'm expected to.
i didn't wear underwear to my wedding. i didn't have any clean ones. was fine, until I got drunk and forgot to zip my fly after taking a leak.

at my wedding I wore a white linen shirt and some tan linen pants. Dress code was basic: anything classier than a t-shirt + shorts + flip flops. I had people that still showed up t-shirts (those "oh-so-classy: $45 ones) and even my wife's brother was wearing shorts and sandals, but guess what? It had no impact whatsoever on the outcome of the fun had by everyone. No tension in the air, nobody was uncomfortable. It was great.
fuck a tux. they've never fit me right and I refuse to blow hundreds of dollars at tailor for something that I will wear less than once a year, if that.

epill, I hate fashion?
no, I just think it is lame to make poor friends and fam feel left out.
