dobs...its not rude at all...i know you hate fashion in all its venues...if you cant afford renting a a tux or purchasing one then goto to it wearing a dark suit...a tuxedo today doesnt have ruffles or anything...its just a suit.
...i am totally glad i had a black tie, and not everyone was super ultra dressed up, but the majority who were made the wedding feel like a more cohesive group...it made a much more lasting impression in my mind over having people come how ever they want.
planning a wedding take a lot of time and patience, and it costs a lot...to complain about how one should dress as an opinion doesnt hold any ground...if you dont want to go then dont...but if you do go then try to make the effort that the wedding party has asked of you to do as they invited you to be part of their special occasion.

ok..day is over and there is weeds that need to be rolled.
