question02, while i know what you're saying as far as political jargon goes, it's a little different when you're entire state government is underwater and can't react to the situation because there are houses floating by. the ball was dropped by all governments, but in the end, the fact that the federal government - the end of the line - didn't come to the aide of the people, is wrong.

I would rather blame the city of New Orleans for not reinforcing the dam in the first place. It's the individual States responsibility to secure shit like that. I am not sure that I know many people who think otherwise. I thought it was common knowlege that the Government is unable to move to disaster areas within 72 hours and that initial 72 hours is state responsibility. How are you thinking otherwise?
