If this happened in the States, you would be in jail for at least the weekend. Then when you were finally would released, you would have a court date and probably a fine in the tens of thousands of dollars to cover the expenses.

No joke, happened a couple of times with kids and fake pipe bombs over the last two years here. Getting a $30,000 ticket ain't no joke. I can't believe you think this is just a funny story. Not sure about how they do it out by you, but I'd be sweating going into that meeting with the coppers...
