And I love my SD550. A solid point and shoot.

i want this model.
i had the SD500 and *oved* it until some fucking pretzle-dick who worked at this luxury hotel here stole it w/ ALL my family's 10 day holiday pic's still inside it. still makes me sick.
anyway, i have heard good things about the 600

I recommend an SLR. Even if it takes you a year to save for it, the rewards are worth it.

it is really about having the proper quiver from which to choose from.
but CyBrainX speaks wise words nonetheless...

(Jun 5 06, 13:42)I agree... but they don't really fit in your pocket. For a point n Shoot I love the cannon SD series

exactly, joyride. it's nice to have a small one that you can take anywhere. dslr's are nice, but i take way more photos with my sd630 than with my D100.

the canon elphs are the best digital point-and-shoot cameras on the market IMO.
I've had the S200 (pre SD series) for 4 years now and its still going strong. I have many friends and family with SD series models and they all love them.
If you are considering a DSLR, I have the rebel XT too and its amazing.

i just got this yesterday and it fucking kicks ass.
unreal how well it makes pictures for just being a little point-n-shoot...
get it.

I think the same thing about my 500. I've never been impressed with the pocket sony's.
