about three weeks ago, for a week.
me and the missus were over for a week, just kicking back really.
We stayed in barceloneta but spent most of our time around the beach or at la borne. I loved it.
It's about the forth time I have been over and I still can't get enough.

I recently saw an interview on BBC with Carlos Ruiz Zafón, author of "Shadow of the Wind"(great novel, story taking place in bcn). He said that Barcelona nowadays isn't as creative place as it seems to outsiders (at least compared to like 100 years ago with all the painters and so on) and is on a good way to become just a theme park of itself. Zafón lives in LA, btw. Some other people interviewed sounded a little bitter, saying it's a shitty province compared to London.

Its changed a bit since 6-7 years ago, there's a whole load of new rules, You get tickets like in SF< 3000 for skating, drinking, tricks, Partying on the streets...
Not so much fun but still a lush city...

--When I was there 2 weeks ago, I noticed more police activity than previous years. Finally!! BCN is known as the thieves capital of Europe. I saw the police taking a robbed person's report, they prolly wouldn't even care before.
