I need to learn Flash actionscript

That's it. I am done. i really need to learn action script for Flash. I have basic knowledge, but need to get deeper into it.
How do u suggest guys us the best way? I kinda learn always taking a book and cranking up on it. kind of visual person.
Any good book, any other ideas?
Really appreciated. i am a designer not a programmer so please be soft with me.

if you can afford it Lynda.com is pretty decent. http://www.lynda.com/
books and tutorials will only get you so far. you learn (or at least I learn) a lot better putting an actual project together.

Thanks guys. I had my eyes on Lynda's books. I have several of them and worked out pretty good. I just wasen't sure it would be the same with flash... so much math and symbols :P
I am not a geek like the bunch of you guys and I need something that takes me step by step. Kinda retarded on tat sense.
Should I go MX or Flash 8? Is there a difference?

i realized i had to learn Actionscript not too long ago. Coming from a design background it was kinda tough to learn it, until i found the "Understanding Macromedia Flash 8 Actionscript Book, Basic techniques for creatives"
If you really wanna learn it, it's a must.
