asswipe. I have taken mathematics to a new level
- euopean_hoopoe0
the symbol is always one os this numbers
9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, 81, 90
they all share the same symbol
- euopean_hoopoe0
Any number between 0 and 100 can be expressed as
10*x+y, say in 67 x=6 and y=7
The number you look up in the table is
10*x+y-(x+y) = 10*x+y-x-y = 10*x-x = 9*x
So as you see the first digit in your original number is all what matters. If you pick 34, then the number you look up in the table is 9*3 = 27, as predicted in my previous post

does it bear any relation to the european hoopoe?
- paraselene0
ah, yes. sorry, just googled it:
"Common member of the hoopoe family, closest relation to which is the European Hoopoe. The Euopean Hoopoe shares most of its cousin's characteristics, excluding, of course, a sense of humour."

you may be the guesser, but you're absolutely stonking rubbish at it, so i thought i'd lend a hand.
that's me, alright. a goddamned good samaritan.

kelpie it's because of the magical properties of the number 9.
Multiply any number by 9, add up the figures in the total and you end up with a 9.
Also, pick any number, add the digits together and take that figure from the original number and you end up with a multiple of 9.
So, in this horoscope thing they use the same symbol for all the multiples of 9, then change the symbol the next time you load the game. Ya?
