bottom line: it's some freaked out math equation that works out every time. my head is too small to understand it.

I tried about 10 different numbers and it was right 9 times. Probably 10, because I couldn't really remember the symbol it got wrong.

it's called math. do it with two separate two digit numbers and then compare the symbols on each of your answers. they're the same. the flash file just shuffles the symbols in order to keep you mystified. it's a simple trick, a digital slight of hand if you will, because the equation will always return the same results.

I remember seeing this a while ago too, but it still creeps me out. And even for a math equation, since there are many different symbols.

We can now see that despite the fact that we get to choose from
numbers 10 to 99, really, there are only 9 possible numbers to
be put on our mind. So while there are lots of symbols provided,
we only have to worry about 9 of them: 9 18 27 36 45 54 63 72 81AH HA!

there is no margin of error because each time you try again the order of the symbols has changed to fit the recurring 9 element.
