Long story short, I owned a house for 7 weeks in the south of France. I made a profit of about $20,000 and spent around $45,000 on lawyers to get rid of the fucker.

I love it more and more each day. It is definitely a sanctuary...

I've been looking and it seems to be a buyers market, 'round here at least. House are staying on the market longer and the forecloser rate in CO is at an all time high.

Maybe you should get Jevad's house kyl3!

Hey mayo, I'm buying my Mom a house (holding puppy).

I was in a time crunch and I think chose to soon also. I have no idea if it was a decent investment yet. It's OK but I sort of feel trapped in one place while I wait for enough ROI to move.
I am putting a lot of $ into it. I still need 4 new windows and a back sliding door. I have to take down 2 trees, etc.
My neighbors are slobs. One has a 5 foot Poison Sumac plant on the side of her yard. Last year I got Poison Sumac in my eyes and privates from sprouts in my garden.
Next time I will choose to live in the country or in a cul de sac at least.

I'm looking in the hills above town, I don't want to see any neighbors nor doe they want to see me walking around naked in my windows.
jevs place is nice but I want a house with some land. For what he wants I can get 5 acres

yes, yes, and yes.
i am very happy on my current home i own (my second) and would/will do it again in a heartbeat. i feel it is one of the best things a person can do for themselves and their well-being. seriously. it provides base, structure and focus where some other things cannot or really prove to be otherwise.
IMO, it is a good direction to head in.
and local banks will often provide the best solutions kyle, along with offering greater services and dropped fees if you have multiple assets held with them.

I saw on TV that CO has the highest foreclosure rate and that that housing market will drop by half this year causing a lot more available houses than buyers. One bad thing about that town I live in is that everyone seems to spread out into new houses and ignore even the slighty older neighborhoods. I wish people with $ would buy them instead and keep them looking nice.
