you should actually kill them, or at least tie them up and torture them for a few hours.

Good neighbours. We always tell our neighbours to watch our house whenever we're gone. Best way to do it.

take pix of the bashing!
- Point50
enjine, I'll make animated gifs out of the beatings... and post em; that's a promise.
Jaline, no joke. Those neighbors have been nice since day 1 that we moved into the neighborhood.

damn point5.
Kinda restores my faith in humanity and a good neighboorhood like it used to be. Where you watched each others backs and homes.
Reminds me, I went back home on Sunday and there is a new kid living next door to my mom and dad. I think the guy is like 22 or something. Well I guess he's been out of town for work for almost two weeks so my dad and I without thinking twice about it mowed his lawn for him. It was half being nice, half he was sick of looking at that overgrown shit. haha. A guy across the street saw us mowning and brought over his lawnmower and helped.
It was nice to see that. That sort of thing I don't think would happen where I live.
I really hope you catch the bastards Greg and take a ball peen hammer to their toes.

This old man who lives a few houses away from us mows peoples' lawns and feeds the deer in our forest (which is behind our houses) every morning, no joke.
Living in the suburbs isn't as it used to be, but it's not that bad either.

I gotta give it up to the people across the street. My son plays with their son on occassion, so we get along pretty well. My biggest concern is someone coming to the house when my wife and kids are there and I'm not. I'm actually considering getting an alarm system now; something I balked at in the past. DVDs, CDs, my computer, are all replaceable, but the idea of someone coming into my home without permission really strikes a nerve. I've read other people's posts on here about getting robbed, and I was always so angry after reading those posts. Now I'm even angrier than that, and I just barely almost got robbed.

Get an alarm system. Wouldn't hurt, necessarily.

my folks place got burgled three times during christmas, the fuckers came in before the presents were received and took what santa had delivered. I say leave them a note with a few bullets inside and tighten your security

You don't need an alarm, just get a bunch of security stickers and put them in every window. Teenage punks are stupid and it will scare them off. They will move on to an easier target. Trust me.
My car got broken into back in 2001. The next day I put a fake LED scanner on the dash. No break-ins for the next 5 years.
Flash forward to 4 months ago...Getting into the car in a hurry i accidently snap the cord connecting the LED to the fuse box...My car gets broken into a week later. They steal my stereo, 2 skateboards plus pads and tools, my ipod fm transmitter, $40 "emergency cash" I kept in the glove box (which is just stupid i know), and what really pissed be off was they took an old independent beanie i was very fond of.
I got a new car now and put a real alarm in it because i don't want to take any chances anymore.

getting robbed is a shitty feeling.
im just starting to get over my last robbing...
if you think its going to eat away at you, get an alarm system. Here, its like 30$ a month. Or put bars on your basement wiindows.
its not worth it, if youre pacing around your halls with a bat.
thats not what home is supposed to be like...

Naw, I hear you guys. Last thing I want to be doing is sitting up "stalking" my own house. I do have a bit of a violent streak when I feel people violating my family's domain, so I really need to just deter the whole situation. I'm going to get an alarm installed this next week, I'm pretty sure about this. Problem is, the whole time I'm sitting here at work, I'm wondering if those punks came back by my house again this morning.

I am PISSED!! Roommate got home 10 min ago...told me that another car at the bottom of our street had its window bashed in. Fucking punk-ass kids.
I just called the cops to report an increase in crime in our area. I'm sure they're in a hurry to do nothing about it.
- Jaline0
Aren't you a big guy? I think one look at you and they'd be off running...
- Point50
HAHA, yeah, that's what my wife said, but if I'm not there, intimidation isn't a factor
- Point50
yeah, well the fucking kids went thru my wifes car this weekend. I guess one of us left one of the doors unlocked (there was no sign of forced entry), so they went in and tried to open the center console, they couldn't figue out how to open it so they ended up breaking it. They didn't take anything though... I think they were looking for money; they didn't touch any CDs or anything. I spoke to a neighbor about it and she told me the same thing happened to her when she had left her car unlocked once a while back. So it's obviously some punk ass kids that live in the neighborhood and when they walk the streets after 3 in the fucking morning, the tug on all the car doors along the sides of the street, then enter whichever ones are open

I think it's time for a little stakeout...
- nocomply0
If it gives you a piece of mind its worth it Point5. That's why I cracked and bought an alarm for my new ride.
Crime is shitty and its been pissing me off a lot lately. We've had 4 car break-ins on my end of the street street in the last 3-4 months. And I supposedly live in a good neighborhood!

You could get a bad ass dog like a German Shepherd. They are a great combination of good with kids/protective of the family and intimidating. They will also help you sense when there is danger long before you could detect it. Just a thought. I could be extra protection for when you aren't there.
