i liked the first draft better, where the feather wasnt part of the type.
i feel like a feather is a cheap way out though. i dont know. Is it offensive? Is it something sacred? maybe something that shouldnt be associated with gambling. Im not offering any suggestions here, just saying it makes me feel a little uncomfortable. Same way the clevlevland indians logo does...

super clean work though...

try feather with the lowercase d. i just don't like the proportions of the caps type.

I like the first one also. The D looks a bit like a P in the later drafts.
I do like that type in the 1st draft..
What typeface is it?

like this, john?...
judders, it's Myriad Bold Italic (modified), see the above link..
thanks ross... i'll do some more research on what the feather means culturally . but i personally feel it's a little different than the cleveland indian's case... theyre portraying an actual indian person as a non-person, more comparable to an animal (mascot).
indian gaming supports many reservations in this country. it would be hipocritical of them to say that they are against, or offended, by gambling.

Which feather are you going with?

great work man
a few questions: how do they feel about feathers? have you asked them yet, or is this all workup to your first presentation? watch the cultural gray areas, because they may find it typical of an outsider's impression of how they'd like to be portrayed.
also, who's their audience? are they pushing development to funding groups outside of the reservations, or are they going in to the reservations and working with the tribal leadership? native american to native american imagery should be looked at differently than native american to the outside world imagery.
stuff to think about if you haven't already...very nice work, great typography, and well considered detail work.
good luck!
