We looked for 2 months and found the perfect house. Put a bid in for 10k more than asking and still got out bid. Housing market is still crazy here in Portland:(

That's nice you moved somewhere with the thought of more kids in the area. I bought a house in a neighbor hood that is 20 years old and there are no kids for mine to play with. I guess you have to live somewhere fairly new for that.
