Their new stock, Tapestry would be ideal for a wedding invite. Send off for some samples.

everything i find through searches is prefab template kind of crap.. im looking for stuff actual graphic designers have thrown together.. portfolio peices not a catalog of crap

Have some of your text laser cut and keep the cut outs for the confetti
- iwlyfel0
funny you mention that, i had already planned on doing that, but theres no way i could have enough cut outs to make enough confetti.. i was thinking of just having lots of cutouts made, no so much from the invite inself, just from cheap paper.. enough for confetti
thanks for the input

throwing it back in there
i know you people have some stuff

yes we do.
show us what you end up and we'll happily share
you taking an original idea and bastardizing it is not something everyone is interested in

yo. Just do something that reflects whoever it is that is getting married. 99% of what you see out there is going to be templated, generic shit anyway, and that might taint you into creating an invite along the same lines even if you're not aware of it. Make an invite that doesn't look like an invite. Does it really have to a 3x5? Or have flowers on it? Is a Script font necessary? Let whatever it is you're doing be a reflection of the people and the even that it represents.
The reason I'm saying this is because I designed my wedding invites a few months ago; and when I first did it, I felt really good about it, but now, to me, it looks kind of generic. The only thing I was happy about was my color selection.

im not bastardizing anything.. and i am working on something that reflects my relationship/date of the wedding/location of the wedding/ and theme of the wedding
im just interested in seeing what other people have done, ive never done anything like this at all, so i wanted to see some other stuff for some guidelines and ideas
thanks though
