Wacom w/ Dual Monitors

just got another monitor for my pb and i'm having a hard time configuring my tablet. right now the tablet's divided in half, with the left side controlling the powerbook monitor and the right side controlling the secondary monitor. i see in the wacom app that you can set the tablet to only work on one monitor, but i was wondering if anyone has set there's up where the whole tablet can be set to control each monitor. like, if i go all the way to the right and off of the powerbook monitor onto the secondary monitor can i then have the whole tablet dedicated to the new monitor? does that make any sense at all?
i'm getting used to the current setup, it's just a little awkward as the two monitors are different and it's a little squirrely going from one to the other.
any suggestions on setting up a wacom for dual monitors?

on a side note, i recently heard that the athens community has a sort of distaste for atlantans. is this true as far as you know?
maybe surrounding the music scene mainly?

i just have mine setup to control both monitors as though it were one.
not awkward at all for me, but my wacom is huge and it might be weird on a smaller one...

I have mine set up so a click of the button on the pen switches it between pen and mouse mode. works fine for me, as i only ever use the pen to draw on the one monitor. the other is for reference or whatever.

hmmm, i think if anything it would be within the music scene. though i know there was a recent athens in atlanta night at lenny's and the place was packed. a friend who played said it was really surprising and all the bands were very well received. the music scene here is pretty tightknit, everyone knows everyone. it seems that the majority of atlanta bands that play here seem to be of the new-metal kind(echovalve, etc.) and that kind of stuff isn't really what's happening here. so i guess it could just be a clash of styles? but like i said, i dunno.

monNom, thanks. i might give that a shot. i've got the 6x8 intuos2, i think it'll just take a little while to adjust. it would be great if you could switch monitors just by clicking the pen.

I have the wacom only working on my right monitor - I put my canvases on that monitor and use only it for drawing with the wacom. Gives me a little more precision and I find it annoying having wasted space on my wacom give the ratio is out of wack for a 2 monitor setup.

I had the same set up with the powerbook and external monitor, and just didn't like the flow. I ended up buying a second computer for my wacom with one monitor.

have the 9x12 on two 20" cinemas and i love it. just switch between pen and mouse mode depending.
