I suppose those "many" had an alternative solution to the bombings and sanctions and graft that was occuring there before the invasion.
In addition to internal killings and the eventual assuming of power by Saddam's psycho sons.
Perhaps they would have prefered to wait till Iraq imploded and dragged in all it's surrounding neighbors in a larger regional war.
But that'a all speculation. You should have waited to see how things would have turned out and hoped for the best.
