jevad, if you were objective, you'd go to the Bible to find out what the message of Christianity is. Instead of looking to political gurus and enemies.
Mimio, you didn't touch on the Biblical doctrines of original sin, redemption etc... Instead, you painted a caricature. One might say that the Christian message is based on a false premise, sure. People make this assumption all the time. But this is where honest investigation of the evidence comes into play. The evidence led me to conclude that there truly is a sin problem rooted deep within every person.

Just because you consider yourself a Christian doesn't mean you are in the religious right. I consider myself a Christian and feel that I have nothing in common with them socially and politically.
That is one reason I like the attitude of mars Hill.

Discipler, I'm saying it's premise is an idea, an invention. My above observations are a rational interpretation of the situation a person finds themselves in if they believe the Christian dilemma. Acceptance of the predominate Christian theology means that, you accept that blood sacrifice is required for redemption. A would-be Christian person accepts Jesus as a ransom sacrifice for that payment. Maybe a little reductionist, but definitely not inaccurate or a caricature.
