You're... importing this insidious fashion for ornate, cosmetic religious websites to the UK?
Please.. don't. We're trying our hardest to become secular.

There appear to have been quite a few religious websites posted on NT over the past wee while, and (imo) they're generally clothed in innapopriate attire.
It seems there's a growing distinction between religion as a philosophy of belief and religion as a social club, dressed up in all that jazz, to pull in the punters. To me, it seems like a parallel of the distinction between the bible as an allegorical guide and the Bible as literal truth and it always brings to mind God's warning that we not worship false idols.
That, and I simply can't fucking stand religious proselytizing.

I'm there with you on the proselytizing.
As for religion cloaked in eye-candy... cant say I blame you. It seems to just fall in line with everything else you can sell these days.

That's your opinion... and presents a false dilemma. The body of Christ is called to culturally relevant, without comprimising her principles. Why shouldn't church websites have a current and relevant look? Or do you think that medieval (and un-Biblical) art should dominate church sites?

I'm not sure what you mean by "religious proselytizing", but it is a scriptural mandate from Christ himself, that his followers respectfully share the good news of his death and resurrection.
Of course you are still permitted to hate it. ;)

your decisions on Earth will affect how you live in the next life

"That's your opinion... "
That's why I said it was? What I'm inferring is that 'the medium is not the message'"good news"
Says Who?"Of course you are still permitted to hate it. ;)"
Really? Who shall I write the thankyou card to, you sanctimonious swine?!

your decisions in life have very little bearing on the decomposing remains of your cognitively bereft vessel.
- flagellum0
There is one decision in life we each must make and it will determine where our immaterial spirit spends eternity, once liberated from it's earthen vessel.

Ketchup.. or Brown Sauce?
Decisions, decisions..

I just dont want to be stuck in that limbo place.

Then live to the fill and either regret nothing or skip purgatory and spent eternity in hell.
Either way - you're a winner! (just imagine spending eternity in heaven with Christians? *shudder*)
