Guy I used to work with loved that stuff.
He'd arrive at work to the poorly ventilated studio in the height of summer, take of his jacket[?] then take himself off into the tiny darkroom in the corner. Give himself the second application of the day, Like its not stong enough the first time, then waft it back into the studio. Where the chemical aroma would just roominate for the next three hours.
Then the secretary would arrive and spray the offices with a lovely flowery chemical air freshner thus creating a whole new aroma. Fantastic.
I had to leave. The fumes were killing me.

I hate when anyone puts on too much perfume/cologne.
I had girls in my classes spray themselves while sitting next to me, and I couldn't stand it.
