I recommend Minnehaha falls Park in south minneapolis. A gem in a metropolitan area.
The Walker (http://www.walkerart.org/index... is essential, so is the Museum (http://www.artsmia.org/), and the Weisman
(http://www.weisman.umn.edu/)we are expected to have decent weather this weekend (sunny and 50-upper sixties...)
downtown mpls is over-rated, but there is First Avenue, arguable the best place for music here.
enjoy a big city without being too big like Seattle and Chicago..

hahah - i was just bowling at elsie's last friday!! it was great. grumpy's is awesome too.
go downtown if you want to skip the lines. all the locals are scared to go down there...
new walker art center is hot for art, first ave. or triple rock for music, uptown for eats.
if you want to go to St. Paul, lots of people like the Grand Ave./Summit area. Its just west of downtown.
