I NEEEED one of these - looks so good - and will have access to online store a'la iTunes to buy the complete history / Ninty catalogue + Sega & TurboGrafx games... I just shat myself! I know this was annonced few days back but I been away. Apparently Ninty boss said that 360 and PS3 will both be more powerful, but to wait and see what else they have in store.. followed by a sly wink..
Anyone else lovin Ninty?

i took a game cube for Resident Evil titles, i took a Gamboy Advance Micro so i could always have Street Fighter Alpha 3 with me at all times, i miss rygar and mike tyson's punchout or zzelda on the snes...but overall i am disappointed that nintendo isnt making a machine to compete wit hthe technology that the other consoles are achieving...the gimmicks of announcing that the other machines will be better but wait to see the 90000000th version of mario or donkey kong ...blah!!!!
i need to be wowed big time, and even though the gamecube held its ground with the resident evil titles it still fell short as it just collects dust unless i pull out a zelda title...
so no, i am not interested in NINTY!!!
ill wait for my PS3!!
:)

nintendo historically caters to younger audiences therefore i think their games are kind of limited and not nearly as much fun as ps2 or psp
- laahshi0
also i cant image why making a new console will help sell machines...why not max the power of the current model and offer something the other consumers are skipping nintedo with and getting the other 2. it reminds me of Sega and their monthly new console releases.
they were the best at making games, nintendo also is top at gameplay and replay value...but their machines are now gimmicks as they never fully competed with the Ps2 or XboX...
so why would i even want a Revolution if i know from past experience than nintendo will only approach the gamming world with new Marios and Links.

(Apr 7 06, 06:20)exactly.
i used to have a gameboy advanced and i lost it so i got a psp and i can't put the psp down its so much more fun/better than anything nintendo
but you could really say that about any ps product, imo.

A system is nothing without it's games. If the REV has good games, then I'll be sure to grab it. All I need is a Zelda and it's bought. Everything else is frosting.

And I think Zelda is one of the best games ever...

PS3 will be using BlueRay, which is HD-DVD. I predict it will be blowing all the other consoles out of the water..
- wetterink0
judging on the predicted price point i think the revolution will be the ideal console for the casual gamer.
i for one don't really play video games enough to drop 500-600 bucks on a console. 200-300 would be my limit.
zelda is the best series ever...i will be able to play the games i loved growing up...my mind is made up.

I agree, Nintento is perfect for those who are a bit older than their target audience, but still enjoy gaming every now and then.
I have 4 younger siblings and they all prefer Nintento to all other consoles.

(Apr 7 06, 07:52)what is blueray? why's it so good
- twoismtwoism0
i always got nintendo except when ps2 came out i really wanted the game cube over the ps2 but since it had a dvd player i went with ps2 big mistake ...blueray dosnt matter to me ... Id rather get nintendo just for mario game.
- ********0
so blueray is like betamax
- enjine0
i'll take as many marios and links they can throw at me. did you guys even play 'sunshine' and 'windwaker'?
the bigger/badder/faster consol idea is more of a gimmick than a company recognizing its weakness in the hardware sector and compensating by writing better games than those testosterone systems.
- twoismtwoism0
blueray will just cost more sony and ms are adding bullshit to the consoles ps2 was my mistake to realize that.... if i get a new console it will def be nintendo rev
- twoismtwoism0
i love playing mario games listening to the mario music and sounds man ps2 was a mistake....

People who bitch about Nintendo are almost without exception always wrong.
There, I said it.
Nintendo always turns a profit, from the start, meaning that for all your whinging about them targetting a younger demographic, THEY REACH THEIR DEMOGRAPHIC. Maybe the universe doesn't revolve around you, and you aren't in their target market?
Do you even realize they aren't aiming the Revolution at just kids? Look up their Blue Ocean strategy for the DS and the Revolution: they're aiming for your sister and your father now too. MS and Sony can fight over the frat boys all they want, Nintendo is after everyone else.
You don't want to play Mario 15 or Zelda 49? I don't want to play Final Fantasy 81 or Grand Theft Auto 9 either. I guess Sony is doing something wrong, eh?
By all means, if you want to chase after the latest tech and the highest specs, and pay $800 doing it, go ahead. Not everyone wants to play Generic First Person Shooter 3, and almost nobody has a HD TV to take advantage of the bloated hardware anyway.
