WOW I'm suprised by NT people feeling Sony more than the big N with regard gaming.. weird in my opinion... PSP is rubbish in my book / name 5 good games...? innovation=null, both on M'soft and Sony's front / Sony rumours are that PSP will be phased out by next year / UMD sell nothing and the Nintendo DS has outsold the PSP by 3 to 1.. yep yep
A few people here seem to be chasing tech but what about the art.. no one~NO one does games like Nintendo.. they invented the joypad, they invented shoulder buttons, they invented analogue... all 'gimmicks' right..? C'mon people - you've been suckered before the race has begun.. you talk of gimmicks but they've all stuck - N has dictated the pace from the beginning with regard innovation. I feel that N could have put some more power in the box as well but it'll be half the price of the PS3, and the games will be better.. just watch. The developers who have received the N boxes to test on, are all in agreement, this Revolution will indeed bring in a new era of gaming.
I thought that on a design site, there'd be more love for Nintendo.. BAH! I guess I'll go get my PSP outta the drawer and give it another go, but last time I checked.. it bored me rigid..
DS Lite anyone..?

check out i_monk and Digimuse with much love for Nintendo! I'll buy them all and play all kinds of games. But the PSP is not rubbish. It's a beautiful little system. the UMB's are not doing well, yes, but mostly the movies. When they start making more games, they will sell better. I see at least 3-4 PSPs on the train daily. Different heads too. I almost never see a DS. But I have both, and love both. Too many good memories to give up on Nintendo.

I was in Osaka last week, couldn't find a DS or a DS Lite anywhere. Completely sold out in Japan.

that ds lite is pretty nice. I'd love one. I heard they lined up for blocks to get those.

been working in games as a character artist for about 3 years...worked on all the main systems...nintendo is not dead by any means...they will change the way we play games...sony is putting it all on blu ray...PSP is not doing good..in both games and movies...in the end its entertainment...what good is the latest tech if the games are shit...has nothing to do with the systems...its the game developers you have.

AMEN to tavin...
People in the know have seen that Nintendo will change the way we play games once again.. all the tech in the world is irrelevant without innovation and new angles. However many PSP's you see, DS has sold 3 to 1 - that's an industry fact, as is Gameboy still being number one selling console ever, outselling PS1 & PS2 put together... Xbox1 is a joke.. again; apart from Halo, what's Xbox saying..? the Xbox 360 is a LOT better.
I never saw myself as a Nintendo fanboy but.. it seems I am AGHH -
There were fights in the street for DS Lite in Japan, apparently Police were called to watch over the waiting sections and que's as people were getting rowdy. I ordered myself one from JP but still not turned up and I refuse to settle for anything but the white 'iBook' look

I always end up buying everything , I LOVE gaming , and I agree its about the Gameplay , hell right now Im hooked on a outdated game called Blitzkreig for the PC , and its not cause of how well it looks or how smooth the frame rate is ....
but Nintendo always claims this and that , I remember being at E3 when the Gamecube was coming out and all the accessories that they were showin for the Gamecube , where the hell are they !!
with that said I'll get it when it hits >$150

for me, I'll always give nintendo a try. I think REV will do well. but GameCUBE was a great little machine, but had very few games. RE4 and Windwaker were amazing. BUt the PS2 is the ol' reliable. It's been nothing but joy sinse day 1. I never needed the xBox, but I have the 360 cause I NEEDED to play OBLIVION, which has to be the most robust game I've ever played. The Graphics are simply beautiful. But I have a feeling the 360 may colelct dust when I beat this game. Having access to a backlog of Nintendos history, as the REV is going to have, is pure genius. The other consoles would be smart to follow this trend.
