oasis were a big part of britpop and together with many more bands in england made the soundtrack off a genearation! i have went to 4 concerts here in germany and reviewed the last cd and interviewed them for a student radio station. my freind from italy also plays in a tribute band of oasis the mad ferrets

heres a pretty good doc film about the Oasis vs Blur thingy.
Oasis comes out looking like a bunch of rich wankers while the Blur dudes seem totally norml.

i think oasis will be rembered more as a great cool band than not a good band if you now what i mean. i hope that they can go on for a long time as i see many bands from that time are not with us now. for example maybe they have taken to much drugs/split/solo career Blur! i think it also a livestyle music. when i hear oasis and britpop i think about boys with cool hear and cloths and tall inner city houses,and london. it is very urban music and not the sound of the country! i play britpop as a dj on fridays in a local club for fun. it seems to be well liked.
