Great band:
A lot of borrowed riffs and melodies but really SOLID song crafters. One of my favorites, actually. When it comes to music and the evolution thereof (or trends, if you subscribe to that school of thought), we often forget the "longview." Oasis played a roll in the road to the current state of rock/pop. As well, they served as a gateway-band, if you will, to a more obscure music lineage for many aspiring musicians.
They may not be the greatest people in the world (I really couldn't say), but the original band and subsequent line-ups made great records. You britons, be proud.

If my bro called in sic to a gig and I had to sing while we heckled me from the balcony that would be the end of it!
It was funny as hell though!
