i know someone selling a canon 20d for 1200 with the battery extension, think its a good deal ? if i get the 20d im going to be selling my rebel xt digital what do you think a used one is going for on the market its like brand new but you can buy them new now for 800 bucks ...

good price. i got it and love it...use it almost every day.
are you getting any lenses with that price? if not take into consideration another $500-1000 for a decent one.

i have lenses for my rebel xt, but i want the faster response time of the 20d but ive been finding new 20d bodies online for like 700$ but im worried about how long it will take and if there in stock + shipping & then having to buy the battery extension seperate

i personally would not trust anyone online trying to sell the 20d body for $700. no way.
although they may have the camera a lot of those great deals turn out to be a fucking annoying farce. like they will say "well you should add this and this and by the way the body is from japan so there is no 1 year warranty that comes with other canon cameras etc. etc. etc.
if you don't buy all the *extras they offer more likely than not they will say the camera is suddenly out of stock.

a new rebel is about 899 or so im wanting to get about 600 out of it with the stock lense ive had it since august and it looks like its fresh out of the box.

Slightly off topic, but then again slightly not.
I have the XT with the kit lens (18-55mm) that came with it. Its shite and I knew that when I bought it. I think I'm ready to step it up to something of a little higher quality.
Any specific lens out there you recommend? I'm looking in that same 18-55 range. If any of you guys got something you want to sell I'd definitely be interested.

the base lense that comes with it isnt the best but its included with the camera so thats how im selling it the camera on its own with some professional lenses does amazing work i have about 5 lenses and there beautiful.

i agree with never buying camera gear online... no guarantee with whats in the box... could be just a stone in a 20D box... didnt you see that famous crackhead with the made up powerbook box that some sap bought for 500? empty box.. with rocks.. nice.
anyho, the 20D is good, the 30D is better and obviously the 5D and the 1Ds are the lick.. full size sensor and all...
i have the original rebel still with the grip... and would be willing to sell the body and grip for about $850. new cameras push the price of old ones down...
the 30D has wifi transmission, so that in itself is worth the price... i'd go for the full upgrade to the 30D and bypass the 20d all together...

I am not sure where you saw it, but the 30D body is retailing at $1399 USD most places. You can find a 20D body, new, for $1099-$1199 USD now.
Up here in Canada the body is not even that much, it's $1649.00 CDN.
