janne, i frankly didn't care for the last round of guilders beforer the euro. although they were technically advance, they were really bland and technocratic, they had no emotional warmth at all. They were just all weird patterns.

(Mar 14 06, 10:55)i agree. but i was really amazed when i touched it for the first time, it had so much texture and fine qualities. but yes, the design was rather cold. the bill did not live long anyway.

I agree with 53feet. It seems each of the redesigns of bills of late just add more random shit with no real thought to aesthetics.

german "notgeld" is interesting too. cheap bills meant to live thru crisis. each city had its own..

this one was more interesting in reality. it contained a ton of materials and printing techniques. a real wonder.

janne, ah i see, i did think it was too coincidental
I got a 5 euro bill (i think) from germany it was all colorful and had PERFECT registration from one side to the other
the thing i liked about it was it had a little raver looking kid with a glowstick on it
i thought it was cool the country admits and admires the people of their land like that
i went to look for it, ill try again
