RICHMOND, Va. - A Virginia school district didn't violate a teacher's free-speech rights by removing Christian-themed postings from his classroom walls, a federal judge has ruled.
A National Day of Prayer flier and a depiction of George Washington praying at Valley Forge.

of course the school can dictate what the teacher has on the wall...
makes sense

omg some non-christians are moving into the neighborhood! let's form some whacked out groups and see which party thinks low enough of the constitution to take us on as a voting block!
oh no, will they dump us! oh wait they can't because we've elected so many fucking asswipes who mix religion with government that they can't if they even tried!
hahahaha! news stories like this are considered actual news because there's a risk that they wouldn't pass. bully for us! oh wait, he's dead.

George Bush told me he has a Muslim prayer clock and a mecca-centric arrow pointer in the oval office, He's also known to make his guests use......aw fuck it.

I guess they didn't find about her referring to the students as "children of the light", and slow dancing with them born to her busom.

should have the right

should have the right... to do his job and keep the church and state separated.
he is there to instruct students on curricullum only. I highly doubt religion is on the list of things to be taught
i'd rather the posters were burned though

(Mar 1 06, 11:18)really? would you say this if it were the teen gay/lesbian club rather than a christian one?
the irony is that this teacher would likely be the first one up in arms, demanding a poster be removed if the topic were something he morally disagreed with.

I'm sure they wouldn't allow ads for Hebrew school or Islamic fundraisers either. Typical hypocrites

wtf do you expect, it's in Virginia. It's a Christian state homeboys.
don't forget that the US was founded because of this faith.

I expect them to interpret the Constitution consistently alongside the thousands of established case precedents regarding the separation of church and state.
nothing big....stick to the rules.
P.S. The country was founded by Deists, not Christians.

Also, there is something else in that article that I don't much care for.
"... after one parent complained..."
Ain't that really a bitch? One kids parent, out of the say, 25 students in the room at one time, and maybe 100-200 a day complained and everyone suffers. Kinda like the one guy who complains about smoke in a bar and gets it banned from a city, or the one lady in the office who complains that I don't wear pants and now I have to wear them. Yeah, sometimes not only should people keep their personal beliefs to themselves, but also keep their non beliefs about other's beliefs to themselves.
2 sides to every coin.
