i'm trying to add it to an outline of the US and no dice.

i think you cannot add it to an outline only?
are you sure the outline is a real pure shape? no masks and shit?
- lvl_130
brooke don't you have some tutorials on your site? one with a pepper or something. that thing was really helpful!
- MLP0
yeah its just a singular path.. but it has that circle/slash thing on my icon when i try to use it.
this is for screen, so no worries on printability.
- brooke0
Any way you can post a screenshot of what you're trying to do?
- MLP0
its just an outline of the US, but it has a lot of points. i'll upload a screenshot in a few minutes

wait...offcourse you can...dont stop b/c you are stumped...couldnt you make a much simpler shape behind the cookie cutter shape of the US and then make the mesh within the background shape with extrememly less points??
- Beech0
Get rid of Michigan and Virginia they are using too many points :)
- monNom0
object > path > simplify
or something to that effect.
