work full time and like 5 nights a week freelancing. Some things have come up and I need that money right now.

I work full-time with the occassional side gig. Usually its for friends or family or friends of friends or whatever. I don't really want to charge these people industry standard so I wind up working for cheap. I'm trying to cut back though because I found out that i enjoy life a lot more when I give myself some free time.
I think you really shouldn't underestimate the importance of having time to relax. It will keep you fit both physically and mentally. When I work 60+ hour weeks I go insane.
Also if you live with a gf/wife it will be impossible to get much done when she's around.

Do you guys have any 'anti-freelance' lines in your fulltime contracts? Like, that you have to consult your employer before taking on some work on the side?

It's nice to have a FT gig 'cause then you can just take the freelance work you only really want. I just take on smaller projects so I won't get burnt out.
The problem is if I say "no" too much they prolly will eventually stop asking.
I dunno it seems to balance out just fine...usually.
