I'll tell ye what boys - Vail is fucking spectacular! And we're gearing up for 5-7" tonight and 5-7" tomorrow night!

I'm pretty much over socal snow resorts. Too much attitude from the kids and not enough snow...and the crowds!!! Can you say holy eff? Paying $50 for that is just not worth it anymore. I hold out for mammoth.
My buddy's family has a cabin by this place called Dodge Ridge. I'm heading up there tomorrow after work. Haven't checked the reports but I can promise you it will be better than big bear/mt high.
If you do go have fun. A few runs is always better than none at all.

If you go say hi to Skeletor for me.
Oh no, wait... I'm thinking of somewhere else.

i have had some of the most epic pow days at Dodge Ridge. it is this little sleeper of a family resort, but the untouched there is insane.
there was a huge natural halfpipe/log slide/pillow session there sponsored by maybe Burton or Volcom around 2000. sick, sick stuff from that but have a ton of fun. you will definitly NOT get the lame socal 'tude there. :)

5-7" Nic?... up here we refer to that as DUST ON CRUST.

Baker is doing alright lately, and should get better all this week.

irish - i agree the pow at dodge can get pretty epic. unfortunately i've only hit it one trip out of the 10 or so i've been there. i love that place because its SO chill compared to socal, mammoth, or pretty much any other cali resort for that matter.

kirkwood in california, shhhhh

jevad... I don't want to hear it, that makes me ill.
- madirish0
nocomply- i hear you for sure. it is sporatic i would agree to get it that deep. but well worth the ski school and bib-wearing soccer mom's to score it. :)

kirkwood is so sick it makes me sick writing this from Lima.
people do not know steep or pow until they put in time there waiting between storms.
whistler/bcomb is right there with it, just gargantuan in comparison. man, i wanna ride...
- kyl30
I'm with you irish. all the bowls and trees, steeps, chutes in trees, I love the trees there.
heavier snow but it holds on the steeps. freefalling while making turns!

kyle! come ride this weekend!
chris - yah I hear ya - but it's been regular like that every week since...well....the start of the season.
hahah - ask tkmeister how it was when he came up a couple months ago...nucking futs

man, I would love to. Sorta a birthday weekend and some other less fun stuff. blah blah blah.
some other time for sure.
madirish, i need to know, are you living like a king in lima?
- madirish0
hey kyl3!
let's just say that we can live basically the same lifestyle we did in the US on about 1/3 of the income. :)
it is sweet- you should come down! :) and i am not sure if i will ever be able to live in a place that does not have every frickin' fruit known to man available year round...

update: checked the report for dodge and it looks like snow on saturday!
now only gotta make it through 7 more hours at work...tough to concentrate when you got pow on the mind.

I had a good tme in Lima, and other parts of peru, when I was there about 8 years ago. Geat country! Cosco is cool too.
