I'm going to Den Haag this weekend (KABK open day) and I was wondering if you guys and girls knew any good places to visit? Bar, restaurant, shop, gallery...

If you're into art, that is.
The Gemeente Museum is well worth a peep, too.

Scene-wise, if i remember right, it was pretty dead, but Rotterdam is only a half hour away by train!:)))

PS: bump this tomorrow when all the dutchmen/belgians are awake...

That sounds awesome, The Hague sounds like a wicked place with enough qualified people who have set up shop there. I wish I had been there to recommend some ideas to you other than express my jealousy! haha

madUrodam, squire..
and yeah you could take the tram to Scheveningen and take a walk on the beach..
..and do have dinner at Schlemmer, one of my fave restaurants/bars of The Hague.

there is a bar/club called One Four of Four One which is quite nice. After that you can drink untill you die, surrounded by ugly people in The Pijpela Society.

Gemeentemuseum and GEM should definitely be on your list (they're located next to each other).
for drinks: Zwarte Ruiter on the Grote Markt (try to avoid the Korte&Lange Poten shopping area though). Later on Papestraat is a place lots of ppl go.
Museum Beelden Aan Zee has cool sculptures now and then (Scheveningen) and a very nice location.
The poshy part of town is nice to walk around: Lange Vijverberg, Lange Voorhout and Denneweg. Think antique shops and kinda more expensive restaurants.

if you have a laptop with you:
De Grote Markt has one big free wi-fi spot. that means you can still bother us peeps at NT when the Hague is boring you. ;)
