the Xbones will date quickly, but just roll with it.
if you're a clothing company you'll most likely be changing or tweaking your ID every season so it don't matter.
what's more important is to develop a consistent theme or style with your branding.
and don't fuss too much with woven labels details because they never come back looking the same :)

Ivan, I looked , I liked. I'm even going to go out on a limb and say the line weight on the R vs. the bone may, in the long run, work in your favor. it's consistant with the relationship between logos and their respective signifiers and one can read it as the bones are the logo or all of it is the logo.
I don't know, just my opinion.

forgot to mention; great concept!
that logo is gonna look sharp on a website.
what did you do for the woven effect? i like it.. not totally uniform.

kyl3- I hear you. I keep flipping on that part. General composition rules make me want to thicken it up, but thin it might give me more flexability in the way it "reads"
horton- to render it as fabric, I found a good white cotton swatch via google and then used it as the bkg. in illustrator with the red set to "multiply" and the white part cut out to just show the cotton underneath.

I really like it. The one question I have is how would you trademark or register a register symbol? Could that come back to hurt you since I don't belive you technically can? I could be wrong though...
Looks really nice though. :/
