it's all different sides of the same coin. be assured that as silly as you find anyone else's beliefs, that's how silly your beliefs are to them.
why bother picking apart someone's belief when there's no possible proveable conclusion to the argument. seems to do nothing but divide. i wish people would worry more about self, less about others.

because i hate seeing stupid people carry on wasting their lives on lies
even the concept of faith is stupid
- -scarabin-0
but of course, all i've said will only serve to make you even more firm in your godly convictions because that's what people in movies do.
so carry on, sheep
don't stop baa-ing on account of me

I'm baaa'd , I'm baa'd...

nah, any good religious scholar will tell you it's based on repentence and forgiveness. also. premarital sex is totally cool with them
- -scarabin-0
repentance and forgiveness implies guilt
the religion is based on guilt, shame, self hatred

wasn't hitler vegan? doesn't necessarily mean anything, just a black eye for fascists.

------------------------RAAAAAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH!!
I had that WAY wrong for years. I thought it was the Holocaust that gave facists the black eye. Thanks for the clarity.

there is no guilt in nature; nature has no laws, only habits
only people who want power over others make laws, and without laws there is no guilt
classic inventing a problem to sell you a solution type thing

scarabin, it would be you who has bought into mythology if that's what you believe the Bible and Christianity are about.
Somebody has given you the wrong memo.
Helps to know what those you are countering, actually believe, before you attempt to challenge it. ;)
- -scarabin-0
oh believe me, flaggellum, i've done my homework
- flagellum0
Then why are you spouting nonsense regarding what the Bible & Christianity teach?
- -scarabin-0
if something is nonsense to you maybe you should spend more time thinking about it
- flagellum0
Well, I just know false information when I see it, on this particular topic at least. I wasn't being ugly.
- -scarabin-0
anyway, i don't have time to teach you.
gonna go commit some sins

shouldn't you be having sex just now, scarabin?

Well, there's a savior waiting to lavish you with a relentless love...
...as a free gift that can't be earned.
...whenver you're ready to let him embrace you and change you. (John Ch. 3).
Later.

i hope you weren't calling me a sheep because i never said anything in defense of christianity (even that shouldn't imply i'm a christian). all i said in a nutshell is who gives a shit who believes what.
people put others down based on their personal beliefs (ie. christians to athiests or vice versa). i wish more people could get past the fact that everyone has their own "truth" and find something better to argue about.
PS - i don't know if that verse is about pot or meat but they're both fine with me!

chritianity is based on far deeper things than abstaining from bad deeds, scarabin. There is a lot of anger in your responses. No one is binding anything on you. Someone asked a question, asked for some clarity, asked if anyone had a better understanding/perspective than they did on a topic. Those of us who believe, I'm sure would be happy if you did too, for the reasons of our being happy that another person could be finding the deep meaning we find in it, but know one is telling you to, or even asking you to at all. In fact, you are trying harder to convert us. I think you're being a little unfair here.

I been recently having doubts about eating meat myself. Animals have feelings, and we should be more responsible on how we treat them.

--------------------------That reminds me of something Benjamin Franklin said in his autobiography, he went vegitarian for a piece then spent some time on a ship and watched the crew clean fish and find other little fish inside them. He said to himself, "If you eat eachother, then I don't feel bad about eating you." That's not a direct quote, but the idea's there. It was a funny moment in the book and an interesting take on it.
He said that he occasionally went back to a veggie diet for a month's time just for kicks.
Anyway, just made me think of that, I don't have strong feelings about it either way, myself.
Enjoy this random piece of info. May as well, it's free.

why do all born again christians have checkered pasts?
