Is there supposed to be a background image?
I have seen none (on pc or mac on pretty fast pipes)As for the old versus new debate, I really like your old site but I think that's because it builds so well.
Maybe add an element of that into the new one and all will be well in the world.

Yep soda, the preloaders are all fucked. I know what the problem is though, so I can fix it tonight.
I took out the background image. Decided I didn't like it.
And I find the old site took too long to get anywhere. I like the immediacy of this one.

soda, it's a quit smoking one. do you need it? it's pretty specifically for that, but if you want it anyway, let me know.

i agree with contrast comments made already. im on a pc and found it a strain to see the layout. i do think u could use the black text as provided by the remix.
i personally dont like flash text effect that is getting used but like i say - its just a personal opinion.
appart from that i thought it was ok. :)

Ok, a few bugs from earlier fixed.
I have darkened the text for the mac users.
And I have included a starting image for the people that thought it too empty to start.

Yes, there is a reason. If it went straight into details, the user would not no that is where they were and might not understand why clicking details did exactly fuck all.

why not forego the details button and just make it what you go back to if you click on your logo?

the way the numbered buttons appear as the portfolio images preload hopefully from an external jpeg folder--or aren't they preloading?
