Very nice, but you could really do with an introductory image in place of the large blank space when you first visit the site. Be it a featured project or just a personal graphic created for the site.

Kind of like in the "details" section.
Also, if you're going to repeat the title font throughout the site (not really a fan of reusing logo/title fonts elsewhere) at least make it black in order to bump up the contrast.
Other people are going to comment on the low contrast issue as well, though I don't feel it's too important/

a bit lacking when you first open up. I was waiting for something to load and then found, by looking hard, the links but they were very faint.
Not saying I can do better/ worse but to me it's just ... well .. ok.

I personally would improve the background image. It looks like you are going for a rough textered look but when it is tilled like that it reminds me of those old web background image you used to get.

where they screen printed? if so, what inks did you use as the edges look crisp.
did you print onto film first?if you know anything about screen printing you'd know what I meant.

here's some food for thought re: the front page. I basically pissed all over the level of subtley you established, but it's still not over the top.
1. Title is black.
2. Nav is black.
3. Your name and your site description appear on the first page. No reason not to really.
4. The tiger is there to give the speach-bubble pointer a purpose.
5. Just picked my favorite piece from you and put it to appear on the home page.

I figure you are fiddling or it's still buggy that's why images aren't loading?
Like the layout, clean crisp, simple but effective.
Work really stands out well and the site doesn't detract from the content, feels really subtle.I would go with an intro image too, as it feels too light when you first arrive.
Photos are very sweet too.

Cheers soda, what images were failing to load? I made that happen once and have never managed to repeat it. I think it's a bug lurking as I haven't changed it in the last hour or so.
I assume people that want the text a little darker are on macs? Might need to address that.

05, 06, 07 etc stopped working unless I went back and clicked on 01 then back to 05 etc.
