What no love for this party?

seriously people, of all the elections to take a stand and vote Green, this year is NOT the one.
i'd love to vote Green, but the thought of Harper being our Prime Minister makes me totally ill and embarassed.
voting Liberal this year is more important than ever imho. its not exactly a 'normal' political climate and you shouldn't feel used if you're voting for Martin just to keep the Conservatives out.
its kind of a dire situation.

good point Fanco
its just a shame he doesn't or can't represent all of canada with the same enthusiasm...he's lightning in a debate thats for sure...
he knows he's not running for the PM job, so he can just answer questions without all the bullshit and call it like it is..
you listen to his answers in comparison to everyone else, and its like a breath of fresh air..

my vote is for green.

what's an election?
- exador10
nah horton..
you may feel that way,
hell, i sorta did last time around about a year or so ago..
now?
lets face it...the tory's are probably gonna win..
most likely they'll have a minority gov. similar to the one on it's way out..and whats good about that?
here's whats good about that..
first of all, they wont' have enough power to do as they please..they'll need permision from the libs/bloc and ndp just to go to the bathroom.they'll be in long enough for most of us to remember why the fuck we hated them in the first place...
thats why i'm going NDP...
i believe in the work they do, and they actually NEED my vote...but hey..thats just my opinion...you're more than entitled to your own...i dig what you're saying..hell, i voted liberal last time for that exact reason...
this time, i think i just have to vote for the party i believe in, not the party i fear less than the torys'

It's also pretty hard to forget about the corruption.

yeah i almost always vote NDP because - even though i relate more to the Green platform - if we want the nation to shift in that direction its gotta be small steps.. first bring the NDP safely back around, then the Green can follow.
but that said, this year I'm all Liberal. the situation is far worse, and yes is most def gonna be a minority again, but the thought of Harper representing our country.. like i said, makes me ill.

(Jan 11 06, 20:35)if it was Paul Chretein up for re-election, i might have a harder time forgeting.
all this scandal BS is being TOTALLY blown out of proportion by the media and of course the other parties who can use it to their advantage.

usually i vote green but not this time. aside from the federal green party not really having any kind of platform, their leader is a bit of an ass. of course, no way i'm voting liberal (never have, never will) and conservative... forget it. no way i'm voting for a party with a robot leader who has many of the same values (and neo-con beliefs) as bush. might as well just sign our country over to the US, especially with recent reports that alberta oil may start outproducing the middle east. that leaves the NDP and jack layton. he actually has a chance (unlike the greens) and actually has a personality -- which i think is an important attribute of a world leader.
then the next election, maybe the greens will have a platform and i won't be voting strategically.
hey, if you're voting green this election, make sure you're out there telling people why not to vote for the liberals or conservatives!
if you're worried about funding for the greens, make a donation.

(Jan 11 06, 20:44)I wouldn't say that exactly. Most of the media here is liberal, and therefore they tend to make Harper a demon, and can't really talk about the Liberals in too much a negative light because they pay for everything. That's not to say that it hasn't been getting uglier these past few months, b/c it certainly has.

ndp leader, Jack layton's wife, olivia chow (running in my riding) came knocking at my door the other day to see how i was doing, and to ask who im voting for and why...
i think thats a nice gesture.

Quite the dilemma.
On one hand, I really hate the Liberal scandals.
On another, I dislike many of the party members of the Conservatives, and much of the ideology.
I suppose the platforms of the Green and NDP are the most democratically and environmentally friendly. But I question the experience and organization of the Green Party.
Overall, I have no idea.
On a sidenote, here's an article that compares the stated spending by each party versus a more accurate estimate.

have you noticed that all the Liberals and Conservatives are just announcing new promises everyday?
its like they just say stuff get your attention and they know they are not gonna deliver on it
just like the GST promise. they all say they are gonna get rid of GST but i havent seen anything in last 8 years.

While researching about some of the party platforms, I found an interesting article about the current Green Party.
