I would wait to see how the apps, that are not nativ, perform through rosetta. The perfmance of these is the real issue in terms of when I will move across to the intel macs.
Even jobs said in his keynote that photoshop through rosetta wouldn't be that good for professionals

I say iMac, OS X is standard on every Mac. Plus OS X is way better than Windows.
I read that, if you partition your HD, you could also install Windows on a Mac. So you could have both worlds on one machine, no emulation.
Pretty sweet.

I have always been partial to AMD - the processors are workhorses - clocked higher from the factory.
