Something else to take into consideration....
Adobe won't be supporting Intel based Mac's until they release the next version of CS. Which, given the fact that CS2 is relatively new, probably won't be for another year or so.

the price of the g5 is so cheap for the duals ... even the quad is cheap now...
what is the intel pro desktop machine gonna be like? any ideas in what order the mac product line is going to be upgraded? imac, macbookpro, whats next? any thoughts?

im buying my first mac next week...
and it will be the 15 powerbook.
i was debating on getting the macbook, but considering its first gen and wont run CS properly, im getting the powerbook.
i figure i will ride out the powerbook for a few years, and get the macbook later when all the bugs are ironed out.

I wouldn't buy a powerbook at this point. They're too expensive compared to what you could be getting for the money. Plus Adobe will release Creative Suite soon enough for the macbook.
Has anyone picked up the new macbook? I'm curious to see how well virtual PC will run on it.

I wouldn't buy a MacIntel right now, they run apps like Adobe's slower than a current G5. Wait until all the apps are native and then buy.

I wouldn't buy a mac book pro, untill the second or third update.
If you are smart you will let other people beta test it for you..:)
