So what process or is this intel? Is it any different than intels on PCs?
- 305artist0
Oops-brainfart. So what processor is this? Is this intel duo available on PCs?
- ldww0
i highly doubt that mac would have switched processors to something that is available for pc too

So is this it for MacWorld or do they keep releasing things til the end of the week?

so friggin sweet. i want one.
and the built in iSight pretty much means built in iShowmyboobs.

i just dont understand why macs cost a fucking shitttt load. i feel like i can get the same or better from a pc manu. for like 600 dollars less.
- wyatt0
and yes an intel duo is available on a pc. and last i heard they are using generic intel motherboards (945 series). So yes you could build yourself an imac for about $400..
i'd drop the extra money just for the slick case though.

If you go to dell website and build a similar spec laptop with duo core its only $100 cheaper, and with which you don't get osx, ilife and shinny aluminum goodness.

Well then this will end teh debate. LONG LIVE MAC.

It's sweet, but yeah, wait til march or so when pro apps get native support...
And where is HelloWorld today? I thought for sure he'd be crapping all over this post by now...
- Mattiadesign0
I'll wait at least until March until most of Apple Pro apps have been compiled.
But I'll probably wait until all apps are compiled, Adobe CS studio, Maya, Lightwave, After Effects, etc.

i was hoping they will re-design the case for intel powerbook. i guess they didn't have time to do so.
now, they launched it, i wonder if they'll come up with the new case design...

The photography on the powerbook (i mean mac probook) site is very well done, I mean lookat the texture they got out of the brushed metal. Nice.
