if the dems back her, they're done. hopefully an inde will have some run

Santorum of PA is going to try for a run sooner than later, but he's a dirty dog.
I don't see HC winning anything and it's only going to cause more rifts in the party. Better go with her as a Vice and Edwards as your candidate. America is fickle, but overall it's fair and things are cyclical. Take a look at the history of voting. People are tired of Bushie, even Republicans.

I agree..and I like Hillary..but man having her on the presidential ticket is suicide. And you know what - with all these Bushes and CLintons floating around I want some fresh blood..no more freakin dynasties...

Id vote for a bowl of jello over another republican though.

(Jan 9 06, 09:18)I dunno...I think I would probably take McCain into serious consideration if he ran...the man has principles, and can think for himself. He is honorable and while I don't agree with everything he thinks...he's a born leader, and a very intelligent man.

I agree, strictly on principle Feingold would make a great president, but it is impossible for him to win.
Who else, Joe Biden? He is a tool of the CC companies.

McCain? No way. I respect the guy, but don't think for a minute that the guy isn't a hardcore Republican. No more Republicans in the White House until they get their shit together...
I always liked Clark...

I know what you're saying about McCain... If it came down to Clinton vs. McCain he would get it.
- mrdobolina0
totally tick, the pendulum needs to swing back.

probably true..and I have no idea of how I would feel about that.

Would love to get Bill back in the white house, if only as First Man.
You say the country may not be ready for a jewish or woman president, but what about a mormon president? Mitt Romney is certainly the front runner for the repugs.
Being a from Utah, and living under a mormon run government for 20 years, nothing scares me more than the thought of a mormon president. There was a reason I moved.

McCain is a VERY moderate republican dude....

No Mormom Presidents. Ever.
Isn't there some Democratic governor out there in the Southwest that is pretty interesting..a Latino guy without a latino name?

A) McCain is as much part of the Republican Machinery as DeLay. Make no mistake about it.B) Gets props for his vietnam days, but the Bushies belittled him during the 2000 campaign and he ate it up like a little bitch. No way. Even Kerry showed more defense of his own character and that's not saying anything.

i was beside myself when kerry got the nod instead of wes clark

I remember reading a bunch of stuff about McCain way back that alarmed me. Next to Bush + Co. he looks like a liberal but I dunno. Plus, I am not impressed with how he caved to the Republicans. Where's the spine?!

The sad thing is we still have two years of W...two long, long years...

(Jan 9 06, 09:27)Romney has certainly proved himself as a popular govenor in Ma, a state not usually known for their right leaning government.
This dude is for real, and is a real threat if he were elected pres.
I've been a leftist/socialist my entire life, but like some others on this site, I have been impressed by McCain over the last few years. Up against a real dem I would probably still vote dem, but who knows?
