so is this going to happen or is it dropped because everyone is too busy? Because I still would like to do my letter and don't want to design it until I know if there are rules and all that or are we just going for it... and then giving the files to someone? ANYONE?

I emailed Melvetica a while back she thought it was cool.
I can build the font and post it when finished.
All I need is a Vector file with your character in a 1000point x 1000 point document

huge - I think it would be rad if you made a template AI file with guides for a set baseline, x-height, descender, and ascender, and cap height. We'll all be doing our own thing, but this way there can be *some* continuity in the typeface. Have a look at this for a guideline:

I can do that but I was thinking that since we all come from different backgrounds and styles it would end being a mix font.
kinda like the ones where they took various logos containing letters and created an alphabet.
what do you think?
