one can recognize the old kodak logo from a mile away. Even if you put it on a 20 x 20 pixel square the colours will still scream Kodak.
the new one is just two sticks and a font.
blah.
I should start using FujiFilm.

Seems like a lot of companies are rebranding their logo lately:
Quark, Intel, Sprint, NHL, AT&T, Computer Associates, Visa, Chase

just because everyone's doing it doesn't mean they are doing the right thing.
the only company that I think so far has did a new logo that's different but just as good as the old logo is adidas.
and they are smart enough to still go back to the old logo every now and then for their retro collection.

Everybody IS rebranding!!! I did three rebranding projects last year.
But of course MY rebranding was waaay better than the original versions.;)

apple's logo has changed quite a bit over the years. I never once saw anything tragic come of it.
kodak's brand is in its name. not a symbol. this will change little in the minds of consumers.

I've been visiting for years now, and initally was MelbaToast, but then I mislaid my password, etc. So signed up again. I also decided it wouldn't be bad to join in instead of my constant lurking. :)

Kodak still is in a difficult state... it was very late to switch to digital and the whole thing is hurting... if it was going to survive it needed this change - ugly or not its signaling change -
