I also started listening to Dimmu Borgir and Nightwish. Kinda over the top Symphonic Metal but it's fun to listen to them go over the top with things.

Hey man - I was listening to Pantera when they were a hair metal band with makeup - when Dimebag was really Diamond..I still have that Power Metal cassette floating around my house somewhere..

i was waaaaay into Testament when i was in highschool...man tthat was a fun band..they had the chops...and that lead singer ...
i remember reading an interview with Dave Mustaine, him and megadeth played a gig with testament, and he mentioned that the singer had the whitest teeth he'd ever seen...not sure why, but i've always thought that was kind of funny..
anyhow, alexisonfire...check em out...
they're sorta getting big here in canada (they're home ground)
