I'm always here. What are you talking about?

I like old school metal shop fans also, esp. the art deco-ish ones - pricey though if you can find one.

I need new music. Help me.
Current listening: DreamTheater, Symphony X, Trivium, Killswitch Engage, Extol, Opeth..

Who do you like mate?
- Mojo0
Hmm trends im my likings are: progressive, (DT, SymphX, extol, opeth), and recently this new umm bands like Killswitch engage, As I lay Dying, Trivium, its mostly screaming, with really melodic vocal parts (for me justifies excessive screaming)) - I think it's been dubbed 'metalcore'

If you like Opeth, you should check out In flames they're great.

Will do, I like opeth a lot. Latest addition to my playlist.
I like progressive music.
I listened to Arch Enemy once, man they are really good from what I remember, really fast, accurate well-constructed music. But the lyrics were awful, haha I just couldn't listen to it. Which is poo.

Hmmm..I really like Arch Enemy form the new resurgence of the heavier stuff (I'm 38 and my first metallica was the no life til leather audio cassette via tape trade - so I'm ollllldd school)..
I just got the new Testament reunion show in 2005 in London. Umm..what else new...let me think..

What did you think abouit the new Opeth album? After listening to it I can't listent to their old stuff like before. Ghost Reveries is so amazing! I think Symphony X and In Flames are coming out with albums in the next couple of months. And have you heard Porcupine Tree's new album Deadwing? Very good Prog. Not metal but a very good Prog Rock.

I don't like Opeth for some reason..I just got an advance copy of the new Devin Townshed - freaking amazing one that!
My guitar rig:
Ibanez RG model (not sure model number but it was a $700 axe) though a digitech whammy, MXR Phase 90, Line 6 Otto Filter into a Line 6 Half stack. Also have the older POD for recording work...also have a cheap OLP guitar as backup (their copy of the EVH Ernie Ball guitar - and it has one of the best necks I've ever played - amazing for $199)

I *love* the new opeth album. Incredible. Haven't listened to much of the older.. but it still sounds good.
Yeah I heard one nice indie-ish track by porcupine tree, I recommended to an indie friend and he didn't like it. Didn't realise it was prog-rock?!!
I don't really do classic prog rock, I mean I've listene to the classics - I'm a big dream theater fan so I've checked out allsorts. But I just specifically like Petrucci's style and their style of music. Love the metal element.
Aparantly The Mars Volta are prog, explains why I like them. Also Coheed & Cambria, although I'm not sure about them atm, his mustaine-like voice is good in small-doses.
