He is going to leave Arsenal and it is down to Wenger's scrooge like mentality in the transfer market. I wouldn't be surprised if Cole left in the summer too.
What good is a new stadium without Henry, Cole and Vieira?

Im a United fan, and obviously, an Arsenal team without three of their best players is an ideal situation for me.
but I wont gloat, all great/good teams break up, its part of football, most big clubs will get their chance to shine, just enjoy it when its there and dont take it for granted.
And yes, I agree, Terry Herny will leave for Barca in the summer IMO

(Jan 6 06, 03:33)Not sure that its down to Wenger being tight man.

I don't think he'll go. He's not going to get into the team ahead of Ronaldinho or Eto'o and won't play on the right so that just leaves him warming the bench.
Money isn't an issue as far as I know and never has been. I don't think he'd pass up the chance to lead arsenal out into the new stadium next season.

I'm accept that all great teams break up but there really was no need for this. Three seasons ago Wenger should have signed a decent central defender and I we would have done better in Europe - I think we have some great young players but not enough experience and leadership and have badly needed 2 or 3 players to bolster the squad.
The reason Vieira left and the reason that henry and possibly Cole might leave is that they don't see any immediate challenge to Chelsea's dominance in the next few years.
If Wenger had spent a few quid and showed real ambition they would have stayed - Arsenal may play attractive football but you can't win Europes premier competition without experience.

Maybe Arsenal should find themself an Oil tycoon to team up with..

(Jan 6 06, 03:55)We have at least £25 million to spend - thats the thing. Enough for a couple of world class players which would fill the void until our young ones get more experience. I feel time is running out though... Henry leaving will be a bigger blow than Vieira and look what that has done to the teams confidence. We're still not over it.

in the summer cole is def going to real madrid, roberto carlos is going back to brazil. this is pretty much nailed on.
don;t be so suprised if henry went to madrid also. they're crying out for a decent partner for ronaldo, robhinio just aint scoring goals.

I'm not too much of a Flamini fan, I think we should sell Pires and Ljundbergenrurgen...
I think Cygan is the answer. We can just stick him up front, nobody will mark him due to his crapness and he is free to score all our goals.

Henry would do good in Real, Those long legs can outrun anyone down there.. too!
- gpop0
Those tactics are good.. I think you should go and get Igor Biscan to partner him.
It'd be a shame if they let Henry go as he is class to watch but unfortunately the rest of the gooners are playing a rotten game at the moment.
Only room for one red at the top and that willl be lead by our man 'El Gigantico Peter The Lank'.

yeah crouch is doing really well - I knew he would come good. Liverpool are the new Man U, Man U are the new Newcastle and Arsenal are the new Man City.

arsenal just never had the money to sustain that level of success. and they hate to admit it, but that new stadium has cost em big time. Henry might as well go to Barca, there's no future in Arsenal, especially if he's left carrying the team on his own, which has been expected of him since Viera left.

I think Arsenal will come good again in a couple of years - we have a lot of potentially world class players, especially in Reyes, Persie and Fabregas but just need a bit of investment in new talent to stop our stars leaving...

(Jan 6 06, 03:58)Where'd you get that from? I dont think there's quite so much available.
And even if there is, it's not wise to panic-buy big names for massive fee's for the sake of one season or so.
- KuzIII0
potentially being the word. I'll give you Reyes, but Persie and Fabregas have far from proven themselves. And honestly, you dont have the money, you just don't. It'll be many many many years before you rise up again as a decent team. Even when Liverpool were in the doldrums for a decade, they were still one of the richest clubs in the world. You cannot say that about arsenal.

arsenal dont have any money cos its all invested in there new stadium,
henry will stay, eto'o at barca is a world class striker so they dont need another
- DavidFelt0
They do need Henry, Laporta (barca presidnet) has admitted he wants him, they already play three up front, it would be rony, henry and eto all playing wherever they like and havig more or less free roles, rotating if you will. sounds good to me! goals ahoy
- kelpie0
this'll be shame, I know a lot of your engerlanders hate the arsenal, but watching them in full flow is great. Admittedly watching Daves front 3 there would be veven better, but I don't get La Liga on my council tele...

We do have £25 million - the board have stated it several times, thats why we were a whisker away from signing Baptista.
I'm not suggesting panic buying - I'm saying Wenger has cocked it up, he has had 3 seasons to bring in new players and failed to make any big buys.
And Fabregas is an almost dreamlike talent - I'm sorry but playing in the toughest league in the world and in the champions league in central midfield at 18 with the composure he has is almost unimaginable...
- DavidFelt0
Im sorry but julio baptista is not a BIG player, your kidding yourself if you ever thought he would make a huge difference to you. arsenal are now in a rebuilding period, you cant replace players like viera, keane etc, you have to rebuild another team, around a new leader
