seriously, Reggie Bush clearly is a better public speaker. Does this have anything to do with winning the Heismen? Is the Heisman decided on stats or overall likability?

JazX, your comment about VY using steroids is absurd. He really isn't that big: 6-5 233 lbs. Roids would have him up at 250.
And he ain't no country boy niether. VY's from Houston,TX, the 4th largest city in the U.S.

McNabb is average, just had a really good team around him, including the likes of TO, NFC is and was subpar during those days anyway and Culpepper, what has he done in general?
JazX
(Jan 5 06, 14:47)McNabb was a pro bowler before Owens came on board. He led them to three straight NFC championship Games with absolutely no other firepower at WR to help him out. How can that be called average?
And Culpepper, while inconsistent, has had some monster seasons statistically, albeit with Randy Moss and Chris Carter as his receivers.

I stick to my comments. Young looks a little too bloated. I know a Roid-head when I see one.
McNabb, done nothing with good talent.
Culpepper, even worse with a ton of talent around him. Look at when they inserted Brad Johnson, ohh magic, they win a ton of games in a row.

(Jan 6 06, 09:46)you mean the same trophy that they gave to Jason White and not Larry 'I'm going to break all of Jerry Rice's records' Fitzgerald

(Jan 6 06, 09:48)nahhh... just bantering about sports. it's fun to talk sh*t no?
:)

I love how the internet works. Some dude starts a rumor that a player is on roids, and just like the West Virgina coal miner's story, erroneous information spreads like wild fire. Just because someone is big doesn't equate to being a roidhead. At least with Barry Bonds there were before/after photos of him, and legitimate affiliations with known steroid dealers/companies. With Young, until something real is corroborated, you're way off base.
And McNabb has done nothing with good talent? He had Owens for a little over one season, and they put up monster numbers. They scored at will last season. They also went to the Super Bowl, and were within one big play of winning the whole thing. How is that nothing? How do you define success JazX? Who is a good QB then? Clearly Brady and Manning are better, but who else?
Perhaps you should stick to dispering information about STD's in Africa.

i relish your shit talk JazX. I can't hate anyone right now, Austin is gorgeous, and everyone has smiles on their faces.
Oh, and the avg. high fives per person has gone up from about 6-7 per week to abt. 100-150 per week ---- thats a rough stat.
- kingjulien0
Donovan McNabb's 2004 stats:
300/469
64.0 completion percentage 3875 yards passing
31 touchdowns
8 interceptions
104.7 passer rating
NFC championshipYeah, that's nothing.

He never one the big one and that's what defines a good QB. Please the NFC has been sh*t for 5 years.
Very nice of you to get personal though kj

Reggie Bush deserved the Heismann Trophy, no doubt!!!
how quickly everyone forgets what he did to Fresno State. Vince Young deserved the MVP on wednesday night. its very simple.
Once Texas saw it was Bush in the backfield they brought the cornerbacks up, when it was Lyndell White the were in their normal formation. They knew if Bush gets free its over...he can uplift Texas fans if he got room.

kj, you don't think major college players aren't doing steroids!?!?
I know plenty of D-1 players and they all do it, especially the big boys
if not, you must be delusional
- kingjulien0
Alright, dude, I apologize for that last dig - it was a low blow, but seriously, sometimes you talk out of your ass and present things like they're fact.
Dan Marino never won the big one either, and he's still a hall of famer.
Also, consider that the Patriots were a great team, and would have won three out of four regardless.

alright, I stated I was talking sh*t, generally in sports I do that. There never really is an answer, they play the game for a reason right. Everyone always has their fav's and yet the best team doesn't always win. I'm just poking at McNabb and Culpepper beacause that's who Young reminds me of. He's a great player, roids or not.
;)
- kingjulien0
I know a ton of athletes, professionally, collegiately, even in high schools are doing steroids. Hell I have buddies who are minor league baseball players that drive across the border to TJ and disperse them to their teammates (and opponents). But you can't project that onto everybody, without any facts besides your extensive knowledge of drugs.

I'd like to see how Young does in the pros. There were a lot of people that say he reminds them of Matt Jones, atheltic former QB of Arkansas, now a TE for the Jags. Not sure he will be a QB, but he will be in the NFL.

(Jan 6 06, 10:01)Vince young did the same thing against OSU for a comeback win minus 12 yards. Lets let alone his stellar preformance throughout the whole season. Reggie Bush is incredible but Vince Young is the "most oustanding player" in college football.
Reggie Bush's Heisman can be chalked up to the fact that he is great, but the media loved him and his team from day one this year, and they were just looking for justification to give him that trophy.
